We would like to assure you Amazing Grass products are filled by weight rather than volume. Quality measures are in place to monitor container weight to ensure each container has at least the weight declared on the packaging.

During production, the powders will take up a lot more volume, for the same weight. Since they are moving around more, product tends to settle during transit and as containers sit on store shelves, causing containers to have a lower fill height.

It may seem like a shorter fill but using leveled scoops, you still should be getting the correct amount of servings. If this is not the case, please reach out to info@amazinggrass.com so we can make it right.

Amazing Grass flavors are made up of concentrates and extracts from plant ingredients. All of our natural flavors are organic compliant, Non GMO, all natural, kosher pareve, and vegan.

We work with industry experts to develop great tasting formulas and list flavor blends as, 'Natural Flavors' to protect proprietary information.

We recommend storing opened containers in either the fridge or freezer. A cool dry cabinet or counter top will work too!

While all of our Amazing Grass powders are plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free and Non-GMO, there is only one product that is NOT vegan. Our Greens Blend Immunity Tangerine is not considered vegan due to the added Vitamin D, which comes from lanolin - an oil that comes from sheep's wool. So while the animal is not hurt by the process, we cannot claim 'vegan' on this product.

Our grass powders are finely ground and happen to be very light in weight and less dense than other plant powders that we use in our blends. During production and transportation, the friction can create static electricity. This energy is what is causing the powder to jump on/off the scoop and may cause the powder to actually stick to the scoop. This is completely normal and only seen in our blends that contain a majority of less dense or light particles.

Amazing Grass monitors shelf life over the course of the product lifetime, however we have limited data after a product is expired, as we intend for products to be used up before the EXP date.

If a product was kept in a cool, dry place and appears to look normal, in most cases, the product is safe to consume. If there is any question about the visual, flavor or other product quality, it is recommended not to consume.

After the expiration date, we cannot guarantee that the nutritional/supplement facts panel is as high as stated, as we know our products will lose nutrition over time, like any plant source.

Our powder blends (with the exception of Organic Plant Protein Blend Chocolate Peanut Butter) do not contain any nuts. However, our manufacturing facility does work with peanut flavoring and may have other customers that use nut powders in their blends. Strict GMP standards are adhered to ensuring all equipment is thoroughly cleaned between uses and we have never had an issue with cross contamination.

Our Greens Blend Alkalize & Detox and Detox & Digest products contain coconut water. Technically coconuts are considered a drupe. However, the FDA lumps them in with ‘nuts’.

Yes, all product containers are BPA free, lids too. We use the highest quality #1 PETE containers for our Organic Wheat Grass Tablets and Greens Blend Superfood Capsules. All other containers for the rest of our product lines use #2 HDPE containers. BPA is found mostly in polycarbonate plastics such as #7. Our stick packs do not contain aluminum. They are made up of Oriented PolyPropylene material (OPP) and Metallized Polyester film (PET). All of the materials are food safe certified.

Yes, all our powder products can be added to hot liquids (coffee/tea/hot water) or in cooking. It is possible that some nutrition can be lost if heating the powders to very high temperatures (such as boiling), however you will still get nutritional benefits from the product.

All of our products with the exception of the Fizzy Greens Tablets are certified organic. Some products, such as our Organic Plant Protein Blend , meet the requirements for the USDA Organic seal, which means that 95% or more of the ingredients are certified organic. The rest of our products are CCOF organic certified, which means that 70% or more ingredients are certified organic. In both of these cases, any ingredients that aren’t organic meet the strict organic compliancy standards of the USDA. All of the organic ingredients we use are marked as organic on our ingredient statements.

All of our products are safe to consume more than one serving per day. If you eat other sources of fruit and vegetables, you likely will not need more than one serving of our blends per day.

This is because our products are made from crops, and crops can taste and look different dependent upon the season, soil, composition, water uptake, etc. So if this particular tub tastes a little more bitter and looks darker in color, this sounds to be normal. If, on the other hand, the product tastes and looks vastly different, please feel free to send a picture of the LOT# to info@amazinggrass.com, and we can look into the issue further.

Yes, our grasses are raw and have not been cooked. Foods are generally considered raw if they are dehydrated at temperatures under 117 degrees. We dehydrate our greens using a specially designed low temperature dehydrator. The cell temperature of the leaves doesn’t get above 107 degrees. This allows them to retain maximum levels of heat sensitive nutrients like beta-carotene, phytonutrients and enzymes.

Juicing not only removes beneficial fiber but the plant fiber also protects all the vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, phytonutrients and thousands of co-factors that make up a whole food. As soon as the plant is juiced it begins to oxidize immediately. You also miss out on all the beneficial nutrients and co-factors left behind in the cell walls.

We keep everything stored in its natural state and pulverize into a fine powder that is very easy to mix into your favorite beverage as well as easy to digest, absorb and assimilate. The consistency is much finer than any human could ever chew a vegetable or even a vita-mix could ever blend. This makes it very bio-available and much more nutritious than any wheat grass juice powder.

Nutritionally speaking there is actually quite a difference. First of all, any wheat grass is good for you. We have added a pinch of stevia to enhance the amazing flavor profiles and for sweetness. Sorbitol in this product is actually used as a water soluble tablet binder. It is needed to get the tablet hardness required to package and transport the product. Its solubility helps keep the dissolution time minimized.

Our Fizzy Green Tablets do not fit into a standard water bottle, however you can always break them in half and/or into quarter pieces. This will also help the tablet dissolve faster.

We were really excited about the possibility of delivering our organic whole leaf greens grown on our family farm in Kansas, crafted with other nutrient-dense superfoods, in a novel new convenient tablet form. When we kicked off the innovation process for this project there were many challenging ingredients commonly used in this format that did not adhere to our natural and organic ingredient philosophy. We worked with our manufacturing partner to identify alternative ingredients that we knew would be challenging in a tablet form but would meet our strict standards and we could feel good about. For a tablet to dissolve properly it requires a lubricant. The main ingredient used in most tablets is Polyethylene Glycol, also known as PEG. PEG is a petroleum based ingredient and not something Amazing Grass would allow in our products. We are very excited that we were able to use canola oil as our replacement and still have the same level of efficacy in this novel new food form. The canola oil we sourced is non-GMO and kosher.

Each tablet of the Energy Fizzy Green Tablets has 85mg of caffeine which is comparable to about a cup of coffee.
